a study on surrender
Created over the course of two years and submitted in partial fulfillment of Gianna’s MFA in Choreography. This work explores an improvisatory score that establishes the emergence of instant composition. It is a sharing of what two years of in-depth research, sharing time, ideas and dreams can look like. The pieces is set in a black box theater with seating on bean bag chairs and chairs as the duo moves around and past audience members while the lighting rig about continues to change its proximity to all involved in the experience and composer Matt Kirk mixes and shifts music in real time. a study on surrender is a multi sensory experience.

Body-to-body transfer - a creative practice
My choreographic research in Body-to-body Transfer is a movement-research based choreographic practice that utilizes improvisatory processes, a multiplicity of internal and external kinesthetic attunement, and witness-mover relationships to generate movement. This research engages a multi-sensory perspective as a way to develop, discover and exist. The practice employs elements of Authentic Movement Practice by Mary Whitehouse and Deep Listening Practice by Pauline Oliveros aiming to develop instant composition as a tool to create, generate and exist. In my generation of material we will be playing with Physical Theater/Dance Theater to explore our humanity a bit further. Playing with human sounds, voice work and temp along with incorporating the super natural abilities of dancers.
